Sound Generation features a Digidesign ICON D-Command console for
total integration, control and automation of Pro Tools recording and
mixing in both stereo and surround formats. Avid Mojo and Media
Station|PT provide video synchronization and mixing to picture.
16 channels of Oram (owner and designer of Trident Consoles) mic
preamplifiers are connected to the studio patch panel and normalled to
the Apogee/Pro Tools inputs. In addition, an assortment of high-end
tube and Class A microphone preamplifiers complement the studio
microphone collection.
Mogami studio wiring and a carefully designed patchbay consisting of 9
X 96 bantam patch points ensure the best signal path from microphone to
input and for analog inserts while mixing.
Analog equalizers and compressors, as well as digital and analog
effects processors, are available for recording and mixing. A complete
selection of TDM and host-based digital processing is available in Pro
Tools as well as software instruments and a comprehensive sample
library.
A custom built Manley mixer (18 inputs, 4 aux sends) is normalled
to dedicated outputs in Pro Tools for ease of use during mixing. Stereo
mixes can be recorded to CD, DVD-Audio, DSD (Super Audio CD) via
mastering-quality A-D converters and ½" or ¼" tape. Mixes can be
delivered ready for final mastering, as Redbook Audio CD or in any
standard commercial format.
Surround mixing is also available, including Dolby Digital and DTS distribution-ready audio.
